Katie Munger - Assistant Athletic Trainer
Katie Munger is the Assistant Athletic Trainer and teaches Sports Medicine classes. In this capacity she is responsible for the health and welfare of over 1400 student athletes for Jenks Public Schools. She covers JPS sporting events ensuring our student athletes have the best care. She has worked for Jenks since Fall 2016. Katie earned a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Oklahoma State University and a master’s degree in Sports Management from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Michael Catterson - Head Athletic Trainer
Michael Catterson started as the Head Athletic Trainer at Jenks High School in January of 2016. In this capacity he is responsible for the entire athletic training program which includes the health and welfare of over 1400 student athletes for Jenks Public Schools. He works and supervises numerous JPS sporting events ensuring our student athletes have the best care. He is a graduate of the University of Tulsa and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His work experience includes a variety of clinical, collegiate and high school settings. Prior to Jenks he worked at Deer Creek High School, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and most recently, Tulsa Technology Center. Michael is an active member of state, district and national athletic training organizations. He is a past president of the Oklahoma Athletic Trainers' Association and currently serves on the Secondary School Athletic Trainers’ Committee for the National Athletic Trainers' Association. In 2014, he was awarded the NATA Service Award. He is married to his lovely wife Kimberly and has two kids, Marie and Zeke.aragraph here.
Rhonda Harrison – Team Physical Therapist
Rhonda is a native Jenks Trojan having graduated from Jenks High school in 1989. Playing both girls basketball and soccer, she understands the traditions and expectations of the Trojans. She has been providing her expertise with the Sports Medicine program since 1995. Employed by St. Francis Outpatient Physical Therapy, she is providing physical therapy to both Jenks students and patrons in their satellite physical therapy clinic in the Robert L. Sharp Health and Fitness Center. We are proud that Rhonda is a significant part of the Sports Medicine Team at Jenks High School
Dr. Randy Hendricks – Team Physician
A native of Parsons Kansas began his practice in Tulsa in 1989. Randy is a specialist in injuries and diseases of the Spinal column. He is a graduate of Emporia Kansas State College, University of Kansas Medical School and residency at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita Kansas. He is married to Martha and has 4 children Kelly, Trevor, Ross and Jadyn who have benefited from a Jenks Public school education. Dr. Hendricks has been a Team Physician since 1995 and has been a significant part of the success of Jenks Athletics and we are extremely happy to have Randy as part of the Sports Medicine Team of the Jenks Trojans.
Dr. Jeff Fox – Team Physician
Team Physician since August 2005 is a specialist in knee, shoulder and elbow surgery in addition to articular cartilage restoration. He is a native of ???? Kansas. He is a Graduate of the University of Kansas Medical School, Residency at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Fellowship in Sports Medicine at Rush Presbyterian-St. Lukes Medical Center, Chicago. He is married to Sara and have 3 children (Jake, Luke and Nicholas).We are extremely proud to have Jeff as a part of the Sports Medicine Team at Jenks High School.
Dr. Blake E. Shockley - Team Physician
Dr. Shockley is a native to the Tulsa area. He graduated from Jenks High School and was a member of the 1996 and 1997 Jenks Football State Championship teams. He lives with his wife and 4 children in Jenks. He enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, snow skiing, golfing and hunting. Herbert C. Rhea - ATC/L, Retired Director of Sports Medicine & Head Athletic Trainer
A native of Idabel, Herb is a graduate of OSU in HPER and has a Masters Degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Virginia. A Teacher/Athletic Trainer since 1978, he has taught previously at Enid H.S., Ferrum College, Va and has been at Jenks since 1994. He teaches Athletic Training /First Aid and Physical Education . He was named Oklahoma All-State Trainer in 1998 and is a member of the Oklahoma All-State Student Trainer Committee. He was inducted to the Oklahoma Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame.

Each year more than 800 student-athletes at Jenks High School participate in interscholastic athletics. Injuries and illness are a fact of life and can determine the success and failure of our athletic teams. The Trojan Sports Medicine program is charged with trying to reduce the likelihood of injury and with dealing with those injuries and illnesses when they do occur. The Trojan Sports Medicine program is a full-service program offering numerous services to our student athletes including recognition, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries, taping, medical referral and counseling.
Established in 1994, under the Leadership of Retired Director of Sports Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer, Herb Rhea, ATC, the Sports Medicine Program has grown from a tiny training room facility into a 3,000 foot state of the art facility with a hydroworx rehabilitation pool. Jenks students, athletes and patrons receive physical therapy treatment during the morning hours by St. Francis Hospital Outpatient Physical therapy. Jenks athletes receive medical care that is comparable to that which is found in most NCAA Division 1 colleges and universities.
Trojan athletes are cared for by our Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) and Athletic Training Students we are proud to have the help of our team physicians, since 1995, from Central State Orthopedic Specialist: Dr. Jeff Fox Shoulder/Knee Specialist and Dr. Randy Hendricks, Spine Specialist, Dr. Bryan Hawkins Foot Specialist. Ronda Harrison, PT/ATC provides expertise in the area of Rehabilitation. With the support of Central States Orthopedics, Jenks Administration, Jenks Athletic Department, Coaches and athletes, the Athletic Training program of Jenks High School is recognized as one of Oklahoma’s finest. Each year more than 3,000 visits are recorded in the Trojan Athletic Training room.
Athletes, students and school personnel visit the Athletic Training room for a variety of reasons from minor to serious. On average, the Trojan Sports Medicine program provides more than $75,000 worth of free medical care to the Jenks Public School students, athletes and school personnel in a typical school year.
It is the mission of the Trojan sports Medicine Program to continually strive towards providing the best possible health care for our student-athletes at Jenks Public Schools. We are striving to improve upon the knowledge currently available in the field of Sports Medicine and Athletic Training.
